Here's a tip for writers. If the deadline for a story is New Year's Eve, and you know you won't be able to do any writing until about 4 o'clock, don't leave it until 1:30 on New Year's Eve before you start work.

On the other hand, it works for me. Third Flatiron will be publishing my story "A Rock in the Air" in their March issue. And I suppose this is hardly the first time I've done this. Honestly, put the laptop down and have a bath instead. There's plenty of time.
